Inspire & Ignite - Activate & Innovate

Inspire & Ignite - Activate & Innovate

The Prop House Collective is here to empower and infuse fresh vision into your business. It’s time to activate and innovate. With a promise of stimulating panel discussions, Brisbane icons such as Tracey Mathers, Ian Perkins and Jano Kotzas will lead conversations in customer relationships, how to inspire interactive imaginings in your venue or business, future proofing your venture by adapting and inspiring innovative tactics to keep and draw in more customers.

This second event in The Prop House’s “Inspire & Ignite” series will have a focus on activations. Activating your business varies from visually and aesthetically creating designs and interactive moments that stimulate foot traffic to engaging in experimental marketing to utilising and understanding the emerging trends in retail.

Networking within small businesses fosters new relationships and collaborations which can generate leads and sales. By engaging in networking events, it’s an opportunity to receive and also provide support to other businesses around you. Reputation goes a long way in business and by increasing your visibility, networking events encourage growth and can provide new insight into roads of expansion.

Join the conversation and listen to Matt Kratiuk share his insights on Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout, a celebrated charity making change in our city. With all tickets proceeds going towards this organisation.

A delectable morning tea will also be served by Fresh Collective, so come and enjoy a bite to eat while listening to stimulating discussion at The Prop House on Tuesday June 4th, 2024.

Who is on this brilliant panel?

THE INSPIRE & IGNIGHT SERIES PANNEL

Starting with the legendary, Tracey Mathers.

Tracey is the granddaughter of the founder of Mathers Shoes, so you could imagine, her knowledge of retail and building business relationships is priceless. She teaches and connects people with their strengths to propel their business forward and is now a mentor who shares her abundant knowledge to build confidence and set mentees up for success. For over 7 years, Tracey has been drawing on her wealth of knowledge in retail, small business, leadership and management to provide mentoring for Brisbane businesses.

Following is the fantastic, Ian Perkins.

Ian is the Chief Strategic Officer at BlurbConsulting, a Brisbane based strategic advisory business that identifies, plans and creates market share for its clients.

Sitting beside them is our own, Jano Kotzas.

Jano Kotzas started The Prop House in 1995, after working as a freelance window dresser and starting her own business at the age of 19. With hard work, dedication, kindness, creativity, and attention to detail being the foundations of her business, this success formula has seen her business thrive and grow into what we now know as The Prop House Collective.

The Prop House Collective has been an award-winning event styling, visual merchandising, Christmas decoration and prop hire business for close to 30 years. Jano can write a book on the art of balancing risk with innovation whilst managing growth through the hardest of times: GFC, Brisbane floods (x2) and a global pandemic. With this experience she understands the unique challenges that businesses face and is therefore a strong advocate for small business, women in business and leadership.

Our Inspire & Ignite event will be an empowering morning for anyone who has customer relationships.

All proceeds from the event go to support the Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

What is the Vinnies CEO Sleepout?

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a one-night event held on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year. Hundreds of CEOs, business owners as well as community and government leaders sleep outdoors to support the many Australians who are experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness. Each CEO Sleepout participant commits to raising a minimum amount of funds to help Vinnies provide essential services to the people who need them.

Did you know?

  • On any given night, more than 122,000 Australians are homeless.
  • More than 3.3 million Australians are living in poverty, one-in-six of them being children.
  • 21,000+ Queenslanders find themselves without a place to call home each night.
  • Domestic violence is the single biggest cause of homelessness in Australia.

Matt Kratiuk is the Chief Growth Officer at TACTIC, a national leasing advisory and commercial fit out firm proudly headquartered in Brisbane. He is also the quintessential growth specialist, both in a commercial context and a human context. Having first become homeless at the age of 15, Matt's life naturally progressed toward two decades of drug addiction, crime and trauma. Having come off the streets at the age of 33, Matt then began his career and worked his way up to holding executive leadership roles in top 200ASX Listed Businesses and well as successfully founding a multimillion-dollar, digital startup. Today he is the National Brand Ambassador for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout and he is responsible for co-captaining the highest fundraising team in Australian CEO Sleepout history.
