We recently asked our team “What does 25 mean to you?”, and of course with each quirky, individual personality of The Prop House, we received an array of unique answers. Maybe it was a special birthday trip, the price on a bottle of champers in Dan Murphy’s, the number of party pies eaten in one sitting or the number of years they have known our fabulous Director, Jano.
For The Prop House itself, 25 is also a special number. 25 marks how many years The Prop House has been in business and what a journey it’s been. Since opening it’s doors in 1995, the company has grown in many directions, not only with the number of props that have been squirreled into every spare corner of the building, but the people that have played a part in making TPH the celebrated company it is today.
A constant theme that popped up frequently during all of our conversations was the word innovation. As The Prop House moved from the 90’s into the 2000’s, so did the imaginations of the team, evolving and developing from paper mâché through polystyrene, glitter and lycra shapes to unprecedented LED light shows. When Bev Strickland, power woman behind Strickly Marketing was asked about how she has seen The Prop House evolve, her first word was innovation. “The Prop House never ceased to innovate and bring clients new and exciting ideas to theme their events”.
To this day The Prop House delivers innovative styling ideas, no matter how big or small your celebration is. Over the past 25 years, TPH has styled a diverse range of events ranging from Westfield North Lakes Launch to numerous gorgeous gala dinners at BCEC. The Prop House in 2020 has seen a new trend of home entertaining and domestic events – we are celebrating our homes more today than ever before. It’s safe to say, The Prop House has made some unforgettable moments since the doors opened in 1995 from big and vibrant to small and intimate. We are thankful for the people, the places and the parties that have made up the big picture of The Prop House. Mostly we are thankful to the people of Brisbane for allowing us into your events and for letting us help create your memories.
